Samsung has been very tight-lipped about what to expect from its new Android 15, which has been updated with One UI 7. Because of people’s interest in One UI 7, there have been many leaks and rumors surrounding it.
However, for better or for worse, Samsung accidentally revealed what you can expect from the new One UI 7 update via the Spanish website of Samsung (now deleted). Of course, the pages have been taken down now, but then the internet is always quick to save anything and everything.
So, if you were out of the loop or have been living under a rock, here is everything we can expect from Samsung’s upcoming One UI 7 update.
One UI 7 – New Features Leaked
During the Samsung Development Conference, Samsung stated that One UI 7 would be entering a brand-new era. And yes, it has indeed entered a brand-new era with many revamps. From the lock screen to the home screen, fonts, and everything else in between, Samsung has changed it all. First, let’s take a look at the introduction video of One UI 7.0.
New App Icons and Home Screen Widgets
While the app icons on One UI 6 are pretty good, Samsung has decided to make these icons pop out a bit more with vibrant color options for One UI 7.
One UI 7’s home screen will now let you add the new square-shaped widgets. These are very similar to what you can see on iOS, as well as Xiaomi’s HyperOS.
New Lock Screen Feature
From the One UI 7 reveal, we can see that at the bottom of the lock screen, there are new active notifications for the music player as well as the voice recorder and the stopwatch. You will also see that there are simple control options available based on whatever app is running.
New Control Panel
The Control panel for One UI 7 will now have new blur effects, as well as sliders for the clue and the brightness. The blur effect of the Control Panel will use the color of the app that is currently open, giving the Control Panel a more pleasing look.
AI Features Integrated Into One UI 7
AI features that were recently released via the One UI 6.1.1 update such as the Sketch to Image, Live Effects, and the Portrait Studio will continue to be a part of One UI 7.
We will also continue to see AI Zoom being a part of the One UI 7. From what was revealed on the Samsung Spain website, we should be seeing AI Zoom available at 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, and 10x respectively.
While this is all that we know about what you can expect from the One UI 7 update, there will be even more features and revamps in the UI elements. Now, with the clock ticking quickly, we should soon be seeing the beta update for One UI 7 be released for select Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
As expected, we will be covering what’s new with the beta update as and when it goes live.
