After rolling out stable Android 12 for Moto G200, Motorola starts rolling out stable Android 12 update for Moto G50. This is a stable update which means users with Moto G50 can now finally experience the Android 12 features. Read on to know more about the stable Android 12 for Moto G50.
A bunch of Motorola phones are eligible for the Android 12 update and most of them have already received it. As we get into the second quarter, the remaining phones are picking the stable Android 12 update. And the Moto G50 is the latest Motorola phone to get the Android 12 update.
As per the XDA report, the Moto G50 is getting Android 12 update in the UK. And the update comes with build number S1RF32.27-25. The update is for model XT2137-1-DS which is the Snapdragon variant. It is the first major update for the device as it was released last year with Android 11.
This is a major update which means many new features and improvements. As Motorola phones run on near stock UI you can expect most of the Android 12 stock features. You will get features like Material You, an updated notification panel, new widgets, and a bunch of security and privacy features.
Apart from that, the update comes with a slew of customization options such as font style, size, colors, icon shapes, layouts, wallpapers, and more from the home screen menu. The update will also bump up the Android Security Patch to March 2022 and brings more stability. At the moment, the changelog is not available to us, but you can expect all above-mentioned features in this update.
The Moto G50 Android 12 stable build is currently available through the official Rescue and Smart Assistant Tool. And as we mentioned earlier it is live in the UK. So if you are a Moto G50 user in the UK, you can manually update your phone to Android 12 using the Assistant tool. Also, the OTA update will go live soon so it is recommended to wait for an OTA update if you are not aware of how to use the tool.
You can check for the Android 12 OTA update manually from Settings. And once the update is available, click on Download & Install.
Make sure to take a full backup of your phone and charge it to at least 50% before updating your phone.
