Talking about new features and changes, the Edge 40 gets a new Hello UI design with the update. Hello UI was released last year, but it wasnโ€™t made available on Edge 40 until now. The new UI has a clean and modern look and offers a bunch of customization features, modern control center, new fonts, app cloning, and more.

Apart from the UI overhaul, Edge 40 also gets Android 15 stock features like battery protection, privacy dashboard, Single app screen recording, App archive, Split apps pairing, and more.

The Android 15 Beta update is rolling out to Motorola Edge 40 users who enrolled in the Motorola Feedback Network program. Since youโ€™re switching from a stable to a beta build, itโ€™s recommended to back up your phone before installing the beta update.

You can check for the new software updates by navigating to Settings > System updates > Check for system updates.

The Motorola Edge 40 was released in 2023 with Android 13 OS. The device is only eligible for two major OS updates, which means Android 15 is the last major update for the device.
