Motorola has already started rolling out the Android 15 update for several models, with more device in the queue. We have just learned that the Moto G Power 2024, one of the popular budget phones, is scheduled to receive stable Android 15 update later this week.

As per the update release schedule by Fido, the Moto G Power 2024 is scheduled to receive the stable Android 15 from January 2. Although the schedule is for Canada, we may see the update in other regions soon as well.

Moto G Power 2024 update schedule

The update will be rolled out in batches, meaning it might can take a few weeks to reach all users. So if you don’t see the update in the first week of January, there’s no need to worry, it will be available soon.

With the first major update, you can expect a bunch of new features on your Moto G Power 2024. The new features include more lock screen customization options, enhanced quick panel, improved connection and sharing, one-tap hotspot connection, new emojis, theft detection, and more.

We will have an official changelog once the update rolls out for the Moto G Power 2024. But these are the common features you can expect on your phone after the Android 15 update.

Before installing the update, make sure to backup your data and charge your device at least 50%.

Moto G Power 2024 was launched earlier this year with Android 14 and so this will be the first major update for the phone. Unfortunately Motorola only promised one major update, which means Android 15 could be the last major update for the device.

Motorola’s update policy remains as bad as their update rollout schedules. Motorola needs to step up their game if they want to survive in the long run, because times are changing but they are not.
