Android 15 update is the latest Android version available in the stable channel. Although it was released in AOSP in September last year, many brands have yet to release it to their devices. For Honor device, the Android 15 is available with MagicOS 9.0 update.
After rolling out the Magic OS 9 update for some of its devices in the past few months, Honor has now started rolling out the stable MagicOS 9.0 update for the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro. Earlier the update was available to users through the beta program, but is now being rolled out to all users in batches.
The stable Magic OS 9.0, which began rolling out to the Honor 200 Pro almost two weeks ago, is now also rolling to Honor 200. According to users who have received the update, it is available with build number 9.0.0.130(C605E3R200P1) for the Honor 200 Pro and 9.0.0.133(C636E4R2P1) for the Honor 200.
MagicOS 9.0 for Honor 200 Pro
The Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0 is the first major update for both models. Since it is a major upgrade, it weighs around 3GB and also brings several new features and improvements. Here is the official changelog that comes with the update.

- Touch-feedback animation makes your screen react in a noticeable way across various interactive scenarios, including the Home screen, Global search, Notification Center and Control Center.

- Fan-shaped zoom helps to improve the user experience.
- Moving the function for adjusting video resolution to the top right corner enables a more user-friendly experience.
- Relocating the switches for Al Photography and other features simplifies the Camera’s top toolbar, creating a more organized interface.
Honor AI
Al Translate
- Interpreter is available in meetings, lectures, and other scenarios to provide real-time translation.
- Loop recording mode provides you with real-time conversation translation. It allows seamless conversation translation without tapping for each sentence, making chatting easier and more convenient. Try it out by going to: Settings > HONOR Al > Al Translate > Home screen shortcut.
Magic Portal
- Knock and draw a circle with your knuckle, Magic Portal opens and gives you quick access to the service you need.
- Features and apps such as Google Translate, Google Search, YouTube, Tik Tok and Booking are now accessible in multiple scenarios, including translation, image editing, travel accommodations, and community search.

Al Cutout
- Activate Al Cutout by pressing and holding on the subject within an image, a moving photo or a paused video. You can also save and share the extracted subject. Try it out by going to: Gallery > Select an image > Press and hold on the subject › Recognize and separate the subject from the background > Save/Share.
Al Office
Al Notes
- Al Notes can help you with recording, voice-to-text, and real-time translation.
- Al Minutes allows you to generate meeting minutes with a single tap. Meeting recording now includes foreign language recognition capability. You can experience it by creating a new recording in text notes.
- Al Summary can intelligently generate note summaries, and Al Format allows you to format text with a single tap. You can read the notes more easily and quickly grasp the key points. Try it out by going to: Notes > New typed notes > Al Notes > Al Summary/Al Format.

System apps
- Touch and hold the navigation bar or the Home button to circle content on your screen for searching. Try it out by going to: Settings
- System & updates > System navigation > Circle to Search.
Volume control
- Quick volume control panel allows you to individually adjust the volume for media, incoming calls, notifications, alarms, and apps.
Enable this feature by going to: Settings > Sounds & vibration >
More settings > App volume control.
Personal hotspot
- QR code for personal hotspot makes network sharing more convenient. Try it out by going to: Settings > Mobile network >
Personal hotspot > Turn it on > Scan to connect. - Set a duration of inactivity for personal hotspot, and it will automatically switch off if this period is exceeded. Try it out by going to: Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot > More > Duration.
Audio
- Al Dual-Path Noise Reduction lowers background noise, making voices clearer for both the speaker and listener. Try it out by going to: Settings > Accessibility features > Call enhancement > Al noise cancellation.
Communication
- The optimized cellular self-healing solution enhances the network performance in some scenarios.
Battery life
- Battery optimization offers multi-dimensional power-saving suggestions based on your usage. It enables one-tap optimization to reduce power consumption and extend battery life. Try it out by going to: Settings > Battery > Battery optimization.
System apps
- Smart Remote now includes timer function on air conditioner and the controlling of electric fan.
The Magic OS 9.0 update is now rolling out in several regions for both the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro. To ensure you have the latest update, you can simply check for it in Settings. Don’t worry, if you haven’t received the update yet, it will be available soon.
