June Update for Pixel Phones Squashes 13 Bugs

Google has released the much-awaited Android 14 QPR3 update in the form of the Pixel June update for eligible Pixel devices. It is a big upgrade, bringing Google Gemini to the Pixel 8 and 8a, Display Port, Phone Lookup, and more, these features are part of June Feature Drop.

Apart from these features, the June update for Pixel devices addresses a big list of known issues that will enhance the overall user experience. Google is seeding the new software upgrade on compatible phones and tablets with the AP2A.240605.024 version number. Pixel updates are small in size and the newly released June update is no different.

Google has officially shared the new of new features as well as bug fixes. The update addresses stability issues while using Astrophotography mode on Pixel 6 and Pixel 8 series, general improvements for display and graphics, battery and charging stability for Pixel 6 and 7 series, and more.

If you own a Pixel 5a 5G or newer Pixel family device, then you will receive the June security update on your device anytime soon. At the moment, the update is rolling in a staged manner, you will receive the update OTA notification, you can tap on it and download the update or simply head over to Settings > System > Advanced > System update and install the new software.

You can also manually install the June 2024 update on your Pixel phone by sideloading the update. Theย factory imagesย andย OTA filesย of the September update are already available. But make sure to take a backup before sideloading the new software.
