If you follow tech news, you have probably heard of the Spotify AI Playlist. It’s a new feature from the brand that generates a playlist for you based on the prompt you give. Today, we will learn what it is and how to use the Spotify AI Playlist feature.
Spotify always tries to become the number one music service platform by introducing newer features to enhance the user experience. Now, the brand is taking the platform to the next level with the launch of AI playlists, which let users set up a custom playlist using text prompts. You can also use the pre-defined prompts that are designed for you.
The feature is currently in the beta phase and is limited to Spotify Premium users in the United Kingdom and Australia, but it’s expected that the feature will soon be expanded to more regions. However, as of now, there is no clarity on when Spotify Premium users in other countries will be able to use this feature.
How to Use Spotify AI Playlist Feature
Now that you understand what the feature is, you might be wondering how to use it to get the AI playlist. Read on to check out the steps.
Step 1: First of all, open the Spotify app (Android, iOS) on your phone.
Step 2: Tap on Your Library tab from the bottom.
Step 3: Click on the + icon at the top-right corner and select AI Playlist from the available ones.
Step 4: Enter text prompts or phrases like โromantic songs,โ “playlist that will make me like a main character,” or others. You can also include emojis, movie characters, etc. to get music recommendations.
Step 5: Finally, tap on the Create button at the top-right corner to save the AI playlist to your library.
Wrapping Up
So, that’s all about how you can generate personalized playlists powered by AI if you are a Spotify Premium beta user. Prompts can be creative and specific-genres, places, activities, etc.
Note that the AI playlist feature will not work for non-music prompts like news or specific brands.
Apart from this, Spotify is also working on several other AI-powered features for its platform, which reportedly include the summarization of podcasts, read midroll ads in the voice of the host if required, etc.
