How to Take a Screenshot on Galaxy S25 Series
Simple and Most Used Method
Most devices come with necessary physical buttons such as power and volume buttons. While these buttons have their own specific functions, you can use them in combinations to perform additional tasks. You can also take screenshots using these button combinations.
Hereโs how you can use physical buttons on Galaxy S25 to take screenshot.
- Open the screen that you want to capture in the screenshot.
- Now press the Volume Down and Power buttons together.
- A screenshot will be captured that you will see in the animation.
- Once the screenshot is captured, you will see several options for different actions like share and edit.
Palm Gesture to Capture Screen
If you prefer gestures, Galaxy phones support a palm swipe gesture by default to take a screenshot. However, I personally find this gesture inconvenient as it is prone to a lot of touches. They could have used a convenient gesture like three-finger swipe or another simple gesture. But, you should still try this method and see if you like this method.
- Open the Settings app on your Galaxy S25.
- Scroll down and find the Advanced features option. Tap on it.
- Next, tap on Motion and gestures.
- Here enable the toggle for Palm Swipe to capture.
- Once enabled go to the page or screen you want to capture and swipe your palm across the screen. This will capture the screenshot.
You can use apps to enable back tap gesture on your Galaxy S25 and assign it to take a screenshot. Here is the detailed guide you can follow.

Samsung phones come with both Bixby assistant and Gemini AI assistant. Using these Assistants you can give voice command to take a screenshot on your Galaxy S25 without even touching the phone.

How to Take a Long Screenshot (Scrolling Screenshot)
Long Screenshot, also known as scrolling screenshot, lets you capture more than whatโs visible on the screen. Imagine youโre reading an article and want to take a screenshot of the entire content, but itโs not visible on the screen and you need to scroll to see it all. In such cases, you can capture everything in a long screenshot, which is basically a combination of multiple screenshots in one long screenshot. Hereโs how it works.
- Take a screenshot using any of the above methods and a toolbar will appear alongside the screenshot preview. (Donโt use the Assistant method)
