If you have been waiting for Apple Maps, you can now use the service on your Windows PC. Apple Maps is currently supported on Chrome and Edge browsers. Since it is a web application, you can either use the Apple Maps in the browser or install it on your PC for easier access. Let’s begin the process.
Use Apple Maps on Windows with Google Chrome
If you use Google Chrome browser on your Windows PC, you can follow these steps to use Apple Maps on the web.
Step 1: Launch the Google Chrome browser on your Windows PC.

Step 3: The maps page will open. Here you can search for locations, and places.

Step 5: Now select “Cast, save, and share” option followed by “Install page as app.”
Step 6: Confirm the same in the popup, and it will install Apple Maps. You can find the app icon in the home screen, or you can also pin it to the taskbar.
Use Apple Maps on Windows via Microsoft Edge
Apple Maps for Web also support Microsoft Edge, so if you don’t use Google Chrome, you can use Microsoft Edge browser. Here is the steps to use Apple Maps on Edge.
Step 1: Open the Edge browser on your Windows PC.
Step 2: Go to the Apple Maps beta page.
Step 3: Similar to the Google Chrome, you can use Apple Maps with all the main features in Edge.
Step 4: To add the Apple Maps as an app, click on the three dots at the right corer to access Menu.
Step 5: Choose Apps > Install this site as an app.
Step 6: Now select Install in the pop-up and wait. After installation, you will find the app shortcut in the desktop. You will also get the option to pin the shortcut to taskbar and start.
You can perform various tasks in Apple Maps for Windows, such as getting driving or walking directions to a destination, find places you want to know about or visit, access public photos of the places, check ratings and reviews, and many other options. Apple mentioned that, Look Around feature will also come to Apple Maps on web in the coming months.
