Huawei Mate Xs 2 – Details

Huawei’s newest foldable smartphone – the Mate Xs 2 is currently available in China. Before moving to the wallpapers section, here’s your sneak peek at the specs of the newly launched foldable smartphone. Starting with the design, then the new Mate Xs 2 looks similar to the first-gen Mate Xs has slight design changes. It has 2-layer structure, when unfolds the display size is 7.8-inch diagonal, it is an upgraded Foldable OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 2200 X 2480 pixels resolution. The cover display’s size on the Mate Xs 2 is 6.5-inch with 1176 X 2480 pixels resolution. In terms of power, the foldable houses Snapdragon 888 4G processor and boots with Huawei’s HarmonyOS 2.0 OS.

The new foldable comes in two RAM options – 8GB and 12GB alongside the 512GB of inbuilt storage, also has a dedicated NanoMemory slot for storage expansion. Moving to the optics, then the new foldable has a triple-lens camera setup on the back. The primary camera module dawns a 50MP primary camera sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, Laser AF, and other basic fetaures. While the other two sensors are – an 8MP telephoto sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The first-gen Mate Xs uses the triple-lens camera module for selfies, this is not the case in the new Mate Xs 2. The heir comes in with a 10.7MP snapper for selfies tucked on the top right corner of the display.

Huawei bundles the new Mate Xs 2 with a 4,600mAh battery, while the 512GB variant has a 4,880mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. For security, the foldable sticks with a side-mounted physical fingerprint scanner. The 2022’s refresh of Mate Xs comes in Black, White, and Purple color options and starts at CNY 9,999 (approx. $1,512 / ₹1,15,200).
