Apple releases first public beta of iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 Update

Last week, just after the release of iOS 14 final public release Apple released the iOS 14.2 Beta for Developers with huge UI improvement. And today Apple has also released the same iOS 14.2 Beta 1 for public beta testers. It means anyone who wants to try the latest beta can easily get the iOS 14.2 Beta 1 or iPadOS 14.2 Beta 1 on their respective devices. Here you will know how to download and install iOS 14.2 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.2 Beta 1 Public.

iOS 14.2 Public Beta update

As for Developer accounts, users need to pay, and so most users prefer the public beta account. And this update will give the opportunity to everyone to test the new and cool UI that will even improve the current iOS 14 UI. This update brings UI changes in Music, CarPlay, Lock screen, Control center, and more. And it looks better than before because of the interactive and attractive theme. After this Widget feature will be even more interesting to use.

If we talk about the build number and features then it is similar to the iOS 14.2 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.2 Beta 1 Developer beta. The build number is 18B5052h. There is no modem update which is fine as there are no issues with network and connectivity in the past few updates. This update is even more interesting than the final iOS 14 updates.

Download and Install iOS 14.2 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.2 Beta 1 (Public Beta)

As we mentioned earlier that anyone with a public beta tester id can try this update. But if you don’t have the beta profile then you can simply enroll for beta and get the beta profile on your device. Or you can also install the update on your iPhone or iPad using a computer with the help of Finder or iTunes. But with the beta profile it is simple and safe without removing data of your device. Follow the below steps to install iOS 14 beta profile and download iOS 14.2 Beta 1 or iPadOS 14.2 Beta 1.

Sign Up for iOS 14 Beta Program & Install Beta Profile

  1. Go to the Apple Beta Software program site.
  2. Then scroll down a bit and click on Sign in if you have Apple ID.
  3. On the next page, select the correct OS for your devices like iOS or iPadOS.
  4. Scroll down till Getting Started and click on Enroll your iOS device.
  5. Now you need to install a profile from the next Page. For this, click on the Download Profile.
  6. After installing the Profile, reboot your device. And you are ready to install iOS 14.2 Beta 1 on your iPhone.

After installing the beta profile, you can go to Settings > Software Update to install the first public beta of iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2.
