Google started the Android 16 developer preview soon after the stable Android 15 release for Pixel. In the past two months, they have already released two Android 16 developer previews. As per the official beta plan, the next update is expected to be the Android 16 public beta. It appears that the exact release dates for the Android 16 beta plan have already been revealed.
As usual, the official roadmap for the Android 16 beta has been available since its announcement, though it doesn’t include exact dates. According to the roadmap, Google plans to release one beta every month until April. But guess what? We might have some exciting news about when the betas will drop!

Recently a Googler accidentally spilled the beans on the Android 16 beta release plans for the next three beta updates. Thanks to Assemble Debug, a contributor at Android Authority, who found the comment, we now have the exact dates for these updates.

Although the Googler didnโt explicitly state when each beta will start, we can infer the exact dates from his comment.
If the comment proves accurate, the first Android 16 beta could release on January 22nd, just a few days away! The Android 16 Beta 2 might drop on February 19th, and the Beta 3 could follow on March 12th.
Google might release another beta version later, if needed. The final stable version should come out in Q2, 2025. Usually, Google releases the next Android version after August. However, starting with Android 16, they have decided to roll out new Android versions earlier.
If you’ve an Android 16 eligible Pixel device, get ready to enjoy the beta build. You can join the beta program by following this guide. Although the beta updates are more stable than develop previews, there will still be some bugs. So I suggest you to wait for feedback and then install the beta or test the beta on a secondary device.
