This week, Xiaomi kick-started the global rollout of Android 16-centric HyperOS 3.0 skin with the Xiaomi 15T series. Now the company has surprised everyone with the HyperOS 3 global rollout for the Xiaomi 15 series. Needless to say, the update is rolling out with a flurry of new features and enhancements.
Xiaomi plants a new Android 16 stable update to the Xiaomi 15 with 3.0.4.0.WOCEUXM firmware version. As a major OS upgrade, it weighs a hefty 8.2GB, so ensure your device has sufficient storage before downloading. Note that beta users may receive a smaller incremental update compared to the full public release.
For the time being, the update is in its initial rollout phase and limited to select users in the EU region. A broader rollout should begin soon. Before installing, make sure to back up your important data. Xiaomi 15 users can now upgrade their device to the first major OS upgrade.

If you own the Xiaomi 15 and want to update to HyperOS 3 based Android 16 update, you can check for new updates by navigating to Settings > About phone > System update (or tap the HyperOS banner at the top) and tap “Check for updates”.
