Samsung officially announces the One UI 8 Watch for its Smartwatch lineup. As previously reported, Samsung has decided to skip the One UI 7 Watch for the One UI 8 Watch to align with its smartphone OS. The next OS version for Galaxy Watches promises to bring a range of new features.
As usual, Samsung will provide users with an opportunity to experience these features before the official release through the beta program. One UI 8 Watch Beta will be available for these models
Along with the announcement, Samsung has also shared the eligibility criteria for the One UI 8 Watch Beta. Among all the One UI 8 Watch-eligible models, the oldest model will not be participating in the beta program. So, after excluding Galaxy Watch 4 models, these models are eligible for One UI 8 Watch:
- Galaxy Watch 5/5 Pro
- Galaxy Watch 6/6 Classic
- Galaxy Watch 7
- Galaxy Watch Ultra
- Galaxy Watch FE
If you own one of these models, you’ve met the first criterion, but there are further limitations. Just like last year, the One UI 8 Watch beta program will be available in only a select few regions.
One UI 8 Watch Beta will be available in these countries
Samsung has confirmed that only users in the US and Korea will be able to participate in the beta program, which is expected to be available by the end of this month.
Samsung is giving many reasons to join the One UI 8 beta program, including a bunch of new features. Among these are Bedtime Guidance, Vascular Load, Running Coach, and Antioxidant Index. However, it’s worth noting that some of these features may be limited to specific Watch models.
