Every big tech company has its eyes on AI technology. Meta, Google, Microsoft, and other companies have already started bringing AI features to their platforms. Specifically talking about Meta, the tech giant is adding Meta AI chatbot to Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is a bit slow in receiving AI features as compared to Messenger and Instagram. Meta began testing AI chatbot on WhatsApp last year but it was only available to a limited number of users. And it was only available in the United States.
Now WhatsApp’s AI Chatbot feature is expanding globally to users who have set the default app language to English. However, the AI chatbot feature is still only available to a limited number of users, though this pool is larger than before. Both iOS and Android users are getting this new AI chatbot feature.
To access the Meta AI chatbot on WhatsApp, you can tap on the Meta AI icon or in the search bar that appears on the top of the Chats page of WhatsApp. To increase your chances of getting the Meta AI chatbot early, you need to keep your WhatsApp updated to the latest version. This doesn’t guarantee that you will get an AI chatbot immediately as it’s available only for limited users.
The AI chatbot feature on WhatsApp works exactly like the AI chatbot on other apps or platforms. Users can ask anything in the AI search bar or the chat window. You can even ask to generate images like midjourney by giving prompts. But the results contain a AI watermark at the bottom left.
Luckily I was selected among the limited user pool and managed to get access to WhatApp Meta AI chatbot on Android. Just like other AI chatbots, you can’t blindly trust the answers you get to your questions.
I am not sure how much the Meta AI chatbot will be useful in WhatsApp for most users other than clearing queries. What do you think how useful about the new Meta AI feature on WhatsApp? We will try to figure out some tips and tricks and share them with you soon.
