watchOS 11 finally goes public with several new health features

After months of testing, Apple has finally released the much-anticipated watchOS 11 software update to the public. The next major Apple Watch update comes out with a flurry of new features that includes the new Vital app, Photos watch face, Translate app, as well as many useful health features.

If you own an Apple Watch, you can finally upgrade your watch to the new watchOS 11 software upgrade. It is a free software upgrade for those who own Apple Watch Series 6 or newer models. Apple kicks off the stable build with the 22R349 version number. It is a big upgrade and requires a big chunk of data for downloading.

watchOS 11 boasts several new features including the all-new Vitals app, which allows users to quickly view key overnight health metrics, providing better context to stay updated on their health. Additionally, the update gains pregnancy support, helping users track changes in their physical and mental health during this important time.

watchOS 11 Update

First things first, you need to update your iPhone to iOS 18, then only you can proceed installing the watchOS 11 update on your Apple Watch. Follow these steps to download the update.

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General > Software Update.
  3. Simply select download and install watchOS 11 update.
  4. That’s it.

Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network.

Now the watchOS 11 update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
