There’s a fresh new leak of Sony’s Xperia 1 VIII. Yes, Sony still makes smartphones, and the new leaks for the Xperia 1 VIII showcase a bold and strong new look, as expected. The device has a slim and tall form factor- a staple design seen on a ton of Xperia smartphones.
The new renders for the Xperia 1 VIII have been shared by OnLeaks via My Mobiles.
Looking towards the front part of the upcoming Xperia 1 VIII, the front selfie shooter is housed in the bezel instead of the commonly seen punch hole design on many other smartphones. Display-wise, Sony will continue to use an OLED display, and on the Xperia 1 VII, this will be a 6.5-inch display, making the device feel a bit compact compared to other devices in the market.

Staying true to the Xperia design, the Xperia 1 VIII will continue to rock the 3.5 mm headphone jack and, as usual, will be present at the top. Heading towards the dimensions, the Xperia 1 VIII will measure 161.9 X 74.4 X 8.58 mm. The Xperia 1 VIII will be 2 mm thicker than its predecessor, thanks to the square platform that houses the cameras.

We are yet to see what hardware and sensors Sony will be using to equip the Xperia 1 VIII, the software, as well as other details, such as the price, global availability, and what storage options will be available. Until then, you can enjoy the renders for the new Xperia 1 VIII.
