Samsung Galaxy A35 and A55 receiving One UI 8 stable update

Samsung has started rolling out the stable Android 16-centric One UI 8 update for Galaxy A35 and A55. Needless to say, the update bags a slew of new features and enhancements.

For the time being, the anticipated One UI 8 upgrade goes live in South Korea, with a broader rollout expected to follow soon. The update is rolling out with A356NKSU5CYI8 firmware version on Galaxy A35 and A556SKSU6CYI6 build number.

The Galaxy A-series duo was launched with the Android 14 operating system last year. These phones received their first major upgrade in the form of Android 15. Now these mid-tier phones have started receiving their second major software upgrade, measuring approximately 2GB in size.

One UI 8-based Android 16 update comes with a slew of new features and changes. The list of features includes the new Adaptive lock screen clock, improved split-screen view, better display support in Samsung DeX, easier file sharing with Quick Share, Dynamic Lock screen, hide apps in secure folder, updated stock apps, improved animations, and more.

Whether you own the Galaxy A35 or the Galaxy A55, you can upgrade your device to One UI 8 stable update. To check for the update, go to Settings > Software Update. Once the update is available on your phone, you can download and install it.

Please charge your phone to at least 50% before updating to the One UI 8-based Android 16 update. Also, don’t forget to back up your data just in case.
