The latest leaked One UI 8 build for the Galaxy S25 Ultra is now available with build version BYFB. It’s said to be a stable build and is expected to be released shortly after the Unpacked Event on July 9.
From early feedback, One UI 8 seems like a good upgrade, taking the One UI experience to the next level with improved smoothness and fluid performance. In addition to the features released with the public beta builds, One UI 8 will also bring an Adaptive Lock Screen clock.
Samsung has done something different than the ongoing trend of depth lock screen clock, and their decision is right. We finally have something new that looks amazing.
Many users who installed the latest leaked One UI 8 build have also shared videos showcasing the new Adaptive lock screen clock. UniverseIce, a trusted source, has also shared multiple videos explaining the feature in the best possible way.
The lock screen clock adjusts its size depending on the objects it detects in the wallpaper. The best part is that every number on the clock resizes independently. I really like the new Adaptive clock style.
The Adaptive clock doesn’t work with every wallpaper. The wallpaper needs to feature an object with a proper outline that the phone can detect. This means most depth effect wallpapers should be compatible with Samsung’s Adaptive Lock Screen clock.
Since it appears to be a One UI 8 feature, it could become available to all One UI 8 eligible devices after the update. If you have a Galaxy phone, you can look forward to trying this new clock style.
