Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 13 5G are getting HyperOS 2.0 update in India

Xiaomi has already released the stable HyperOS 2.0 update to many of its premium phones in the global market. Now the company has shifted its focus to the Indian market.

Xiaomi has started rolling out the much-awaited HyperOS 2.0 update for Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 13 5G phones in India. HyperOS 2.0 based Android 15 update boasts a bunch of new features, customization tools, trendy AI features, and more.

If you reside in India and own the Redmi 12 5G, you will receive the new software upgrade on your device with OS2.0.3.0.VMWINXM firmware version. Whereas, the Redmi 13 5G will get its first major operating system update ending with OS2.0.3.0.VNUINXM build number.

For the time being, the update is rolling out to those who joined the Mi Pilot program testers, with a broader rollout should commence in the coming days. It is a major upgrade and requires a huge chunk of data. So, please ensure your phone has enough data as well as storage to install this update.

In terms of features and changes, the HyperOS 2.0 update comes with new customization features, user interface changes, performance enhancements, Circle to Search, and more. Apart from that the update includes AI-driven features such as dynamic wallpapers, AI search, Quick fill, Super Xiao AI, AI painting, voice recognition, translation, and more.

Whether you own the Redmi 12 5G or Redmi 13 5G, you can now update your device to the new HyperOS 2.0 update. As we mentioned earlier, the update is rolling out in a staged manner and will be available in the coming days. Some users have already received the update, you can navigate to Settings > tap on MIUI banner > Check for Updates > Update Device.

If the update isn’t available on your device, you can wait for a few days. Before upgrading your device, make sure to back up important data and charge it to at least 50%. If you’re in a hurry, you can sideload the recovery ROM on your device.
