Oppo updates Find N3, N3 Flip, and Pad 3 Pro to ColorOS 16

Oppo is keeping its word. The company promised to expand its Android 16 rollout in November, and it’s now delivering ColorOS 16 to three more devices: the Find N3, Find N3 Flip, and Pad 3 Pro. Needless to say, the update bags a bunch of new features and improvements.

Oppo Community team has confirmed the official version rollout; however, the update is currently available to select users on request. The stable rollout will begin on November 11 for all three models. The company wants you to update your device to the newest available software version, or following build numbers:

  • Oppo Find N3: CPH2499_15.0.0.870 (EX01), 15.0.0.860 (EX01), 15.0.0.850 (EX01)
  • Oppo Find N3 Flip: CPH2519_15.0.0.860 (EX01), 15.0.0.870 (EX01), 15.0.0.880 (EX01), 15.0.0.890 (EX01), 15.0.0.891 (EX01)
  • Oppo Pad 3 Pro: OPD2402_15.0.0.1301 (EX01)

In case your phone or tablet is running on the old software version, you can update it to the latest version by navigating to System updates in Settings. For availability, the update for Pad 3 Pro is available in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. If you own the Find N3 and reside in Indonesia, you can also update to Android 16. Indian users owning the Find N3 Flip can also join the ColorOS 16 club.

Moving to the features, Android 16-based ColorOS 16 update features a major design overhaul, improved performance, smoother animations, and a plethora of new features and updated system apps. Apart from these changes, the update will bump up the monthly security patch version.

How to update?

To apply for the ColorOS 16 official version, you can navigate to Go to Settings > About Device > Tap the top of the page > Tap the icon in the top right corner > Select Trial version > Official Version > Apply Now.

Once done, you will receive the update go back and select Detect the update option > Download now. That’s it.

Make sure to take a backup before installing the update on your device. Also, charge your phone to at least 50%.
