Oppo releases stable ColorOS 16 (Android 16) update for Oppo Find N5

Oppo has been testing the Android 16-focused ColorOS 16 update for several phones for the past few months. Today, the company has finally started rolling out the stable ColorOS 16 update for Oppo Find N5. At the moment, the rollout is limited to Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, with a broader availability to commence very soon.

As always, Oppo has officially shared the rollout details on its community forum. The company says you need to ensure that your phone is running on CPH2671_15.0.1.870 (EX01) build number. In case your phone is on an older software version, you can update it to the latest version to get access to the new features available on Android 16.

At the moment, the update is available to a limited users; however, if you’re in a hurry and want to try out the ColorOS 16. You can request to get the update through the company’s release candidate program starting October 31. As it is a major OS upgrade, it requires a huge chunk of data for installation.

Moving to the features, Oppo Find N5 ColorOS 16 update features a major design overhaul, improved performance, smoother animations, and a plethora of new features and updated system apps. Apart from these changes, the update will bump up the monthly security patch version.

How to update?

To apply for the ColorOS 16 official version, you can navigate to Go to Settings > About Device > Tap the top of the page > Tap the icon in the top right corner > Select Trial version > Official Version > Apply Now.

Once done, you will receive the update go back and select Detect the update option > Download now. That’s it.

Make sure to take a backup before installing the update on your device. Also, charge your phone to at least 50%.
