Oppo kicks-off ColorOS 16 stable update for Oppo A3 5G

These days, Oppo has been working on rolling out the Android 16-based ColorOS 16 update to affordable phones. Last month, the company released the update for Oppo A60 and A5 4G. Today, they started rolling out the much-awaited ColorOS 16 update for Oppo A3 5G. Needless to say, the update comes with a flurry of new features and improvements.

Oppo A3 5G is receiving its second major OS upgrade with CPH2693_16.0.3.500 (EX01) software version. The Oppo A3 5G was launched with Android 14 operating system, meaning the phone is set to receive its second major OS upgrade. As it is a major release, the update weighs around 3.5GB in download size.

If you want to try out the new ColorOS 16 features, please ensure your phone is running on the newest available ColorOS 15 build. If your phone is running on older software, update it to the latest version.

In terms of features, Android 16-based ColorOS 16 update features a major design overhaul, improved performance, smoother animations, and a plethora of new features and updated system apps. Apart from these changes, the update will bump up the monthly security patch version.

You can request the ColorOS 16 update by navigating to Settings > System & Update > Tap the top of the page > Tap the icon in the top right corner > Beta Program > Release Candidate > Apply Now.

Once done, you will receive the update go back and select the Detect the update option > Download now. That’s it.

Make sure to take a backup before installing the update on your device. Also, charge your phone to at least 50%.
