Oppo A18 and A38 start getting Android 15 based ColorOS 15 update

With each passing week, Oppo adds more and more devices to the Android 15 portfolio. Today, the company has started rolling out the stable Android 15-centric ColorOS 15 update for Oppo A18 and Oppo A38. These entry-level phones from 2023 received the new software upgrade with a flurry of new features.

Following the previous trends, the company has officially published the rollout details on its community forum. If you reside in India and own Oppo A18 or A38, you can now upgrade your device to the companyโ€™s newest custom skin.

Oppo says, your phone needs to be running on the latest available software version. The update is available to devices running on the following build numbers:

  • Oppo A18: CPH2591_14.0.0.1401 (EX01) / CPH2591_14.0.0.1400 (EX01)
  • Oppo A38: CPH2579_14.0.0.1401 (EX01) / CPH2579_14.0.0.1400 (EX01)

Oppoโ€™s latest skin, ColorOS 15 brings a slew of new features including new animations, app icons, themes, lock screen customization, AI features, and more. You can navigate to our dedicated article on ColorOS 15.

The update is rolling out in a staged manner and will be available to everyone in coming days. If youโ€™re in a hurry, you can opt for the trial version by which your device will receive the update sooner than expected.

To apply for the ColorOS 15 official version, you can navigate to Go to Settings > About Device > Tap the top of the page > Tap the icon in the top right corner > Select Trial version > Official Version > Apply Now.

Once done, you will receive the update go back and select Detect the update option > Download now. That’s it.
