In the month of August, OnePlus released the OxygenOS 11.1.5.5 update for its first-gen Nord smartphone. Now the company has started rolling out OxygenOS 11.1.6.6 update for OnePlus Nord. The latest patch is rolling out new monthly security patch, a new feature, and enhancements.
The new firmware is rolling out in all three regions – IN, NA, and EU. OnePlus knocks-out the update in NA region with 11.1.6.6.AC01AA build number, while IN and EU get it with 11.1.6.6.AC01DA and 11.1.6.6.AC01BA version numbers. The incremental patch weighs around 376MB of download size, so you can easily update your smartphone to the latest version. The update is already available for many OnePlus Nord users, it will be available to everyone very soon.
OxygenOS 11.1.6.6 arrives with the October 2021 monthly security patch along with the system stability and bugs fixes. This time, OnePlus did not mention the list of bugs in the changelog. OxygenOS 11.1.6.6 update for OnePlus Nord
OxygenOS 11.1.6.6 joins the company’s staged rollout phase; it will be available for every OnePlus Nord user within a few days. If you’re using the Nord, then you can head over to the Settings > System > System Update and check the new updates.
OnePlus also allows users to sideload the update. It means if you want to update immediately if the new update doesn’t show up, you can use the OTA zip file. You can download the OnePlus Nord OxygenOS 11.1.6.6 OTA files from the Oxygen Updater app. And after downloading, head to System Update and select local upgrade. Before upgrading, always make sure to take a full backup and charge your phone to at least 50%.
