Last week, Samsung confirmed that the One UI 8 beta would be coming to more devices this week. The company has fulfilled its promise and expanded the One UI 8 beta update to the Galaxy S24 lineup. If you own the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, or Galaxy S24 Ultra, you can try out the One UI 8 beta on your device. Based on feedback from beta participants, Samsung will fix bugs and improve the user experience.
One UI 8 Beta Program goes live for Galaxy S24 series owners residing in the USA, UK, South Korea, and India. The program is already live in India for Galaxy S24 Ultra, and the beta is seeding with firmware version that ends in ZYH3. As it is a major upgrade, it requires a huge chunk of data for installation, weighing approx. 3.2GB in size.
One UI 8 is based on Android 16 and bags a slew of new features and changes. The list of features includes the new Adaptive lock screen clock, improved split-screen view, better display support in Samsung DeX, easier file sharing with Quick Share, Dynamic Lock screen, hide apps in secure folder, updated stock apps, improved animations, and more.
If you reside in any of the above-mentioned regions and want to install One UI 8 beta on your Galaxy S24 series smartphone. You need to install Samsung Members app on your smartphone. Now open the app, log in with your Samsung account, and tap the One UI 8 banner at the top and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once done, you can open Settings > Software Update > Download and Install, now you can install the One UI 8 beta update on your Galaxy S24 series smartphone. Once downloaded, tap Install. It will take some time to install the update, and the device will reboot after a few minutes. All done? You can start using your smartphone.
