The Nothing OS 3.0 Beta has been announced for the first Nothing Phone, i.e. the Nothing Phone (1). The Nothing OS 3.0 open beta brings Android 15 experience to the original model including all the new goodies.
Nothing Phone 1 is the fourth phone to receive Android 15 open beta after the Nothing Phone 2a, Nothing Phone 2 and CMF Phone 1. The Nothing Phone 2a Plus is also scheduled to receive Nothing OS 3.0 this month, so stay tuned for that too.
Nothing has not released stable update for any model yet, but it is expected to be released by this month for Nothing Phone 2a. Talking about Nothing Phone 1, it won’t receive stable update until January 2025.
Since there is time for the stable release, users can now experience Android 15 early through the Open Beta program. Anyone with Nothing Phone 1 running latest build Spacewar-U2.6-241031-1818 can apply for the open beta by following the steps below.
- Download and install the Nothing updater APK.
- Navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta version.
- Tap “Check for new version” and follow the steps to install the Nothing OS 3.0 beta.
