While many smartphone OEMs are busy testing the Android 15 developer preview on their premium devices. Motorola is still in the process of releasing the Android 14 update for pending models. Today, the company has started rolling out the Android 14 update for Moto G13.
Moto G13 is the company’s entry-level smartphone released in January 2023 with the Android 13 operating system. Now the device has started getting its first major software upgrade. At the time of writing, the update is seeding in Japan; a broader rollout should commence in a matter of time.
A user (@hak_komok) on X, formerly Twitter, shared a screenshot of the update. As per the details, the update weighs around 1.5GB in size and carries the version number UHA34.29_060201.

Moving to the changes, the Android 14 update for Motorola phones comes with features like lock screen customizations, monochrome themes with more color options, use your phone as a webcam, a new battery settings page, and even bigger fonts, improved privacy and security, and more.

If you reside in Japan and own the Moto G13, you can check the new update by navigating to Settings > System updates > Check for updates.
It will also be available to the unlocked models very soon. If the update is not yet visible on your device, please wait for a few days.
Make sure to take a backup before updating your phone. Also, charge your phone to at least 50% before updating the device.
