Lenovo has finally joined the Android 16 rollout campaign, with the Legion Y700 (Gen 4 / 2025) becoming the first tablet to receive the upgrade. As expected, the update brings numerous new features and changes.
Lenovo launched the tablet early this year in May with the Android 15 operating system. Now the company has started rolling out the first-ever major OS upgrade with ZUI 17.5.10.031 (based on Android 16’s BP2A.250605.031.A3 build) software upgrade.
As it is a major upgrade, it weighs a whopping 6GB of download size. For quicker and smoother installation, we recommend you connect your tablet to a stable WiFi network. Also, as it is a big upgrade, please ensure you have at least 8-10GB of free space on your tablet.
Moving to the features and changes, the Android 16 update for Lenovo Legion Y700 is rolling out with features like Live updates, Desktop Window, Group notifications, New Emojis, Embedded Photo Picker, APV codec support, Predictive Back upgrades, HDR screenshots, Advanced Protection Mode, and more.
The update will bump up the monthly security patch version to the newest available version. Not only this, but the update squashes several known issues.
If you own the Lenovo Legion Y700 (2025) tablet and waiting for the Android 16 update, your wait is finally over. In case you missed the OTA update notification. You can check for updates on the Software Update page under Settings.
At the moment, the update is in a rolling phase and will be available to everyone in the coming days. Before installing the update, make sure to take a backup of important data.
