After releasing two back-to-back iOS 18 beta builds this week, Apple has now released the fourth beta of iOS 17.6. First, we got the iOS 18 Developer Beta 3 re-release, followed by the iOS 18 public beta, and now the iOS 17.6 Beta 4.
The iOS 17.6 Beta 4 comes with build number 21G5075a, which suggest it could be the last beta build of the upcoming iOS 17 update. This means the next update could be iOS 17.6 Release Candidate, followed by the public release of iOS 17.6.
However, it is not confirmed whether Apple will release these updates without any weekly gap or at an interval of one week.
Along with the iOS 17.6 Beta 4 update, the tech giant also released some other updates today including iPadOS 17.6 Beta 4, watchOS 10.6 Beta 4, tvOS 17.6 Beta 4, macOS Sonoma 14.6 Beta 4, visionOS 1.3 Beta 4, macOS Ventura 13.6.8 RC 4, and macOS Monterey 12.7.6 RC 4.
As usual, the iPadOS 17.6 Beta 4 build number matches that of the iOS update. The iOS 17.6 Beta 4 update size may vary by the device model and last update.
Beta 4 update is probably the last beta for the iOS 17.6 update and is focused on bug fixes for stability. You can expect to see small changes and improvements in performance along with bug fixes.
The iOS 17.6 Beta 4 is available to both Developers and Public beta testers. You will not get the update if you have already upgraded to iOS 18 beta. This will only be available to users who opted for iOS 17 developer beta or iOS 17 public beta on the Software Update page.
