After releasing the watchOS 11 public beta yesterday, Apple now kicks off the fourth beta of watchOS 10.6 to developers. The gradual upgrade comes two weeks after the release of the third beta. watchOS 10.6 is all set to bring improvements to the camera app and other enhancements.
Apple pushes the watchOS 10.6 beta 4 with a 21U5574a build number. For the time being, the update is available to developers; a public beta build will be available in a matter of time. If you own an Apple Watch Series 4 or newer model, then you can easily upgrade your watch to watchOS 10.6 beta.
Like previous beta releases, there’s no information available related to new features available on watchOS 10.6. However, it is expected to bring improvements to the camera app with faster connectivity and better controls. Apart from that, we can expect bug fixes and other enhancements.
As mentioned earlier, Apple released the public beta of watchOS 11, you can try out the new features by joining the beta club. Apple already unveiled the watchOS 11 and it packed several useful features including the all-new Vitals app, Training Load, Live Activites for Smart Stack, Automatic Sleep Detection, and more.
watchOS 10.6 Beta 4
If your iPhone or iPad is running on the iOS 17.6 Beta 4, then you can easily sideload the watchOS 10.6 beta on your Watch.
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap General > Software Update.
- Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 10 Developer Beta or Public Beta option.
- Go back and download the fourth beta of watchOS 10.6.
- Thatโs it.
As mentioned earlier, the watchOS 10.6 Beta 4 is currently available for registered developers, but soon it will go live for public beta testers. Before installing the update, make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network.
To check for the update go to General > Software Update > Download and Install, then install the new software. Now the watchOS 10.6 beta will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
