One of the best franchises out there when it comes to third-person shooter games will have to be the Gears of War franchise. This is a franchise that has been putting out games since 2006 and was playable on the Xbox 360.
Now, the last Gears game that was released was seen in 2018. Gears 5 will now be turning 5 years old, and it has been a long time since we have seen a new Gears game.
So, where is Gears 6, and is this game ever going to see the day? Well, according to people who have insider knowledge and as well as a few leaks, Gears 6 is already in development and is slated for a release either in 2025 or 2026. Yes, it does feel like a long time, but hey, gamers would rather have a fully polished game than be testers for a half-baked and unoptimized game.

Gears 6 Release Date (Expected)
Gears 6 according to the leaks and rumors is slated for a release either in 2025 or maybe 2026. Don’t expect anything much, as these dates aren’t official.
The only time we can get an official expected release date is when the developers of the game. The Coalition, make an official announcement for the game with a reveal teaser or trailer.
Gears 6 Supported Platforms
Gears will as usual be available on the Xbox family of consoles. We can expect it to be made available for the Xbox Series X and Series S. There can be a possibility of the Xbox One console missing out on Gears 6.
Additionally, if you do not own an Xbox or have a PlayStation console, your best bet is to play the game on your Windows PC, which will be made available via the Steam client.

Gears 6 will be expected to continue to follow the footsteps of Gears 5 which was released in 2019. However, one can expect the game to have new weapons, better co-op playability as well as new characters, and probably even some new game modes.
