HarmonyOS Next – Quick Overview

HarmonyOS Next is the company’s pure operating system based on OpenHarmony. Unlike previous versions, this new OS is neither based on Android nor Linux, meaning it does not support Android APKs. Instead, HarmonOS Next supports APP format applications via Ark compiler.

Talking about the user interface, HarmonyOS Next is identical to the HarmonyOS 4.0 and previous generation. The update improves overall performance efficiency by 30%, triples connectivity speed, and reduces overall power consumption by 20%.
