Google Camera is undoubtedly the best camera app for Android phones, and the Pixel phone series is its source. Recently Google has rolled out the latest Google Camera 7.4 update to the Pixel Phones, and it is available officially on the Play Store. This is the same version that seen on the upcoming Pixel 4a in a leaked video. If you have a Pixel phone, then you can easily get the new Gcam 7.4 with multiple new features. Here you get to Download Google Camera 7.4 for Google Pixel Phones.
If you have a non-Pixel device, then stay tuned because the modded GCam 7.4 will also be available very soon. Google Camera has become so popular that most users buy a phone after checking Camera2API enabled or not. It is because the Google Camera or other Manual camera apps require Camera2API enabled to work properly on the device. Now coming back to our Google Camera 7.4 Update, the app comes with some new features depending on the Pixel phone you have. I will list the new features in the next section.
We all know that Google is well known for delivering the optimized stock camera app on the Pixel phones that is great for amazing photography. And Google Camera 7.4 is another great update that will add some more useful features.
Google Camera 7.4 Features
8x Zoom on Video Mode:
In older Google Camera the zoom was possible up to 6x in Pixel 4 & Pixel 4XL. But the Google Camera 7.4 brings the 8x zoom video feature on Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL. Pixel 4 phones come with 2x Telephoto camera, and this 8x adds the option to record videos in high quality even after the zoom. It uses Google’s Super Res Zoom algorithm.
Zooming up to 8x also restrict some option like Auto and 60fps feature in the 1080p resolution video.
We were hoping that we finally get the 4k 60fps support, but still, this option is not available in the Google Camera 7.4. It looks we may have to wait for upcoming updates for the 60fps features.
Video Resolution Toggle:
Its been a while since the arrival of new UI and in Google Camera 7.4 they have made one more change. It comes with a toggle to switch between 1080p and 4K resolution in Video section. Earlier there were only flash and fps options available, but now in Google Camera 7.4, it has Resolution option. Now we don’t need to go to Settings to change the resolution. It is really a good feature that enhances the user experience.
So these are the two new features that you are going to see in the Google Camera 7.4 app. But in ported or modded Gcam 7.4 apk, we can expect some additional features. We will share the modded apk as soon as it makes its debut. If you are familiar with Google Camera apps, then you know that it is just a matter of a few days to get the modded apk. We will post a new article once it is available.
