Today, Apple releases the third beta of watchOS 9.5 for testing purposes. The incremental beta comes out two weeks after the second beta. As we are going close to the public release, we can expect more stability on the latest gradual upgrade. Apple pushes the new incremental beta of watchOS 9.5 with the 20T5549e build number. The third beta weighs around 461MB, which is almost double in size compared to the second beta. You can easily install the new software on your Apple Watch.
If you own a watchOS 9 compatible Apple Watch with an Apple developer account then you can freely install the new software on your watch. At the moment, the upgrade is available for developers, it will be released to public beta testers in a matter of time.
At the moment, there’s no information available about the changes coming with the third beta of watchOS 9.5. But we can expect system-wide enhancements and some new features with the upcoming watchOS 9.5 update. Although, we can’t expect much from watchOS 9.5 as we are close to the watchOS 10 announcement which will be revealed at the WWDC event.
watchOS 9.5 third developer beta
If your iPhone is running on theย latest iOS 16.5 third beta, then you can easily update your Apple Watch to the new watchOS 9.5 beta, all you need to do is, install the beta profile on your device and then update it over the air. Hereโs how you can update your watch to the beta.
- At first, you need to login to Apple Developer Program website.
- Then, head over to the downloads.
- Tap on watchOS 9.5 beta available under featured downloads. Then tap on the download button.
- Now install watchOS 9.5 beta profile on your iPhone, then authorize the profile by going to Settings > General > Profiles.
- Now restart your iPhone.
Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network. After installing the beta profile, open the Apple Watch app on your phone, head over to General > Software Update > Download and Install, then install the new software.
Now the watchOS 9.5 beta 3 will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
