Apple is rolling out the first developer beta of iOS 26.2 with build number 23C5027f, while watchOS 26.2 beta carries firmware version 23S5280e. The update on iPhone 15 weighs a whopping 7.92GB in download size, Apple Watch Series 7 receives the new beta with a download size of around 840MB.

As for changes, Apple didn’t detail anything in the beta release notes. However, several new features have been confirmed by users, including a liquid glass slider for the lock screen clock, AirPods live translation support in the EU, updates to the Reminders app, table support in Freeform, enhancements to the Passwords app, Sleep Score improvements, and more.

  • Liquid Glass Slider for Lock Screen: You can now customize the frosted glass look of lock screen clock using liquid glass slider.
  • Sleep Score: Apple has adjusted the sleep score ranges to better reflect how people feel after a night of sleep.
  • AirPods Live Translation in EU: If you reside in the EU region, you can now use Live Translations with your AirPods, the feature finally made its way to EU.
  • Passwords: You can now exclude specific websites from password saving and manage which sites won’t save credentials when signing in.

Apart from these changes, there are minor other UI changes and system-wide enhancements.

If you have an eligible device and have opted for the iOS 26 Beta, the iOS 26.2 Beta 1 will be available under Settings > General > Software Update. If you haven’t selected the beta, but still want to test it, you can choose the beta option in the Software Update settings.

Currently, iOS 26.2 Beta 1 is available to developers, and it will soon be released for public beta testers. If you’ve received the update, don’t forget to backup your device before installing it.
