After pushing two minor security test updates last week, Apple has finally released the iOS 26.3 Beta 2 for developers and public beta testers today.
The first iOS 26.3 Beta was released before the holidays on December 15. The second beta was expected last week, but Apple surprised developers with two security test updates.
Along with the iOS 26.3 Beta 2, Apple has also released iPadOS 26.3 Beta 2, watchOS 26.3 Beta 2, tvOS 26.3 Beta 2, macOS Tahoe 26.3 Beta 2, macOS Sequoia 15.7.4 RC2, macOS Sonoma 14.8.4 RC2, and visionOS 26.3 Beta 2.
The iOS 26.3 Beta 2 update comes with build number 23D5103d, and the update size varies based on various factors like the device and the currently installed update.
Talking about changes, the second beta brings a new modem update that jumps from version 1.20.03 to 1.40.02, which is a significant jump in version. While there aren’t major changes, Google recently confirmed that Siri will be powered by Gemini this year, which will be a huge upgrade for Apple Intelligence.

The iOS 26.3 Beta 2 is now available for developers and beta testers. If you’ve selected any of these options in Settings, you can update your device to the second beta. To do this, go to Settings > General > Software Update. You can also choose to receive beta updates from here if you want to receive beta builds.
Before installing a beta update, it’s recommended to back up your data. Also, install updates only when the device is at its ideal temperature.
