Apple continues beta testing watchOS 26.1 and has today released the fourth beta of the upcoming incremental update. The new beta upgrade arrives one week after the third beta and is expected to further improve watchOS 26.1 and squash known bugs and issues.
Apple pushes the new watchOS 26.1 fourth beta to compatible watch models with 23S5031a build number. If your Apple Watch is running on the watchOS 26 stable upgrade, the beta build is sized around 976MB in download size, whereas if your watch is already running on the watchOS 26.1 beta, then the incremental upgrade weighs around 300-400MB in size.
If you’re a developer, you can freely upgrade your Apple Watch to watchOS 26.1 beta. The update is available to all Apple Watch models compatible with watchOS 26.
As always, Apple didn’t mention any changes in the release notes of watchOS 26.1 fourth beta. However, we can expect bug fixes and system-wide optimizations with the upcoming update. Moving to the features list of watchOS 26, the new OS adopts the Liquid Glass design elements, Apple Intelligence-powered Workout Buddy, improved smart stack, messages, and more.
