Spidersaurs: Release Date
While the mobile game has been available on Apple Arcade for a while with its initial release in 2019. It has only been recently announced that the game is making its way to PCs and Consoles. The announcement trailer for the new platforms has been released with an expected release time frame for Spring 2022.
Spidersaurs: Developer and Publisher
Spidersaurs game is being developed and published by WayForward. The same developers behind popular games like Contra 4, Ducktails, The Smurfs 2, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and even The Goosebumps video games.
Now, let’s take a look at this game and what it is all about. This is a 2D platformer where you will have to be running and shooting your way through various kinds of monsters. In all fairness, it feels like a game that flew right out from the 80s and 90s and has landed its way into 2022. The game will make a lot of the older people nostalgic for reasons such as the graphics, the gameplay style, and not to forget the audio. The audio and soundtracks for this game scream out 80s gamer vibes.
In the game, you will have to be running and protecting yourself from various kinds of monsters that have been genetically modified. You will also be getting access to many weapons for you to take down your enemies right away. Different characters within the game will be having their own unique and specific weapons that can be used to battle the crazy monsters out.
This new version of the game will be titled the definitive edition of Spidersaurs. Meaning that you will be getting a ton of new content, new stages, an all true final boss, an alternate ending, new difficulty settings, and finally, the introduction of the arcade and speed run modes. Apart from all these new additions, there will also be new improvements in the game such as checkpoints in the middle level, rebalanced boss order, and of course improvements in visuals. While the newer platforms get upgraded stuff, the Apple Arcade version will also be upgraded from time to time.
Yes, you will be able to play the game with your friends but only via local co-op as of now. Well, it isn’t that bad, but we hope to see an online mode coming up to this game sometime soon.
Spidersaurs: Platform Availability
The game will be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and also for the Nintendo Switch. Well, what about Android devices? Unfortunately for Android users like myself, we might have to simply be satisfied by playing the game on other platforms. Since this is an Apple Arcade exclusive, the developers cannot release it yet for Android.
And this is everything we know so far about the new Spidersaurs game coming out to newer platforms sometime soon. While I am disappointed that it won’t be there for Android, I’m at least glad that I’ll be able to play this game on my PC. As for PC requirements, this game will be able to run on almost any decent spec PC released from 2014 or probably older. We will have to wait and see.
