Pixel Camera 9.7 Update Revives Quick Access Controls

Google is continuously improving the Pixel Camera app. With the December Pixel Feature Drop, Google has released new quick access controls to the app. The new controls allow you to directly control Brightness, White balance, and shadows by tapping the viewfinder.

Prior to this update, you need to follow a multi-step process to access these controls manually from the bottom bar. Many people didn’t like this approach so Google finally addressed the issue and bring back a toggle that let users enable or disable new quick access controls.

Pixel Camera 9.7 update is rolling out to the compatible Pixel devices. In case your device didn’t receive this update, you can head over to the Play Store and check for new updates. Additionally, you can manually sideload the app by downloading it from APKMirror or other third-party sites.

This isn’t the only change coming with the Pixel Camera 9.7 update, the newest version of the app brings the Dual Screen Portrait Mode feature to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Pixel Fold. The feature will activate both front and back captures while you capture a portrait photo on your foldable smartphone.

Made You Look is another feature that gets Joy from Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out animations on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Additionally, the feature goes live on the first generation of the Pixel Fold smartphone. Activating the feature shows a cute animation on the outer display that grabs kids’ attention and helps them take their amazing photos.
