The Camera is one of the key highlights of the Motorola Edge 50 Neo. The phone dons a triple-lens camera array, featuring a trendy 50MP snapper, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera. For selfies, there’s a 32MP snapper on the front.

The phone captures decent photos in its segment. However, the default camera app on the smartphone feels unresponsive and lags while switching modes and closing the app. Motorola needs to address with the coming software upgrades, the issue persists on other Edge 50 series phones too.

Whether you’re looking for a lag-free camera experience or simply want to capture better images, you can sideload a GCam on your Moto Edge 50 Neo. Here’s the best working Google Camera mod port.

Motorola Edge 50 Neo features the same 50MP Sony LYTIA LYT-700C sensor available on the Edge 50 Fusion. Not only this, but the stock camera app supports AI features like AI features such as adaptive video stabilization, a Photo Enhancement Engine, Style sync, Gesture Capture, and Google Photos Auto Enhance.

As mentioned earlier, you may notice lags while using the app, specially while switching between camera modes, zoom, and closing the app. Talking about the image quality, then the app captures nice photos in daylight, even the 2x zoomed photos look good. The same can be said for telephoto photos and selfies. However, the photos captured with an ultrawide camera look dark and overcontrasty.

If you want to capture naturally looking ultra-wide shots, better low-light photos, and videos, then you can use the Google Camera app. The newest version ofย Google Cameraย โ€“ GCam 9.1 supports various useful features including astrophotography and night sight. The latest port works on the Moto G85 and supports all these features.
