Oppo Reno 13 and Reno 14 Pro now receiving stable ColorOS 16 update

Android 16-centric ColorOS 16 rollout picks up the pace. Hours after reaching the Find X6 lineup, the Android 16-based update is now available for the Oppo Reno 13 and Reno 14 Pro. Needless to say, the update carries a flurry of new features and enhancements.

Typically, Oppo officially announces rollouts on its community forum. However, this time the company hasn’t confirmed anything yet. Instead, several Reno 13 and Reno 14 series users have reportedly received the new software upgrade on their devices. Reddit user Animelover2004CF says the update on Reno 14 Pro contains CPH2739_16.0.1.310 (EX01) build number with a download size of 4GB.

Talking about the Reno 13, the update is seeding with CPH2689_16.0.1.302 (EX01) software version, and Reddit user codeshaikh revealed the update weighs around 3.7GB in size. At the moment, the update is available to a limited number of users in India, we can expect a global rollout in the coming days.

If you’re using the Reno 13 or Reno 14 Pro and want to upgrade your device to the newest software version, please ensure your phone is running on the latest ColorOS 15 build. In case your phone is running on an older build, please update it to the latest software to get access to the ColorOS 16.

Also, please ensure you have at least 6-7GB of free storage space on your device. You can connect your device to a stable WiFi connection for quick installation. At the time of writing, the update is in a rollout phase and is currently limited to India; a broader rollout is expected to commence in the near future.

Moving to the features, Android 16-based ColorOS 16 update features a major design overhaul, improved performance, smoother animations, and a plethora of new features and updated system apps. Apart from these changes, the update will bump up the monthly security patch version.

You can request the ColorOS 16 update by navigating to Settings > System & Update > Tap the top of the page > Tap the icon in the top right corner > Beta Program > Release Candidate > Apply Now.

Once done, you will receive the update go back and select the Detect the update option > Download now. That’s it.

Make sure to take a backup before installing the update on your device. Also, charge your phone to at least 50%.
