OnePlus Nord 2 receives a new OxygenOS update with November 2021 security patch

OnePlus kicks-off a new software upgrade for its second-generation Nord smartphone. The latest patch arrives with A.12 version number, bumped up from last month’s A.11. The incremental update dawns a bunch of improvements alongside the updated monthly security patch. Read along to know more about the OnePlus Nord 2 OxygenOS A.12 (and A.13 for India) update.

As of now, OnePlus has not shared any information about this new upgrade on its community forum. But, a couple of Nord 2 users shared a screenshot of new incremental update on the OnePlus community forum. The details provided by the users suggests, the update is rolling out with DN2101_11_A.13 build number for Indian users, while the European variant gets it with DN2103_11_A.12 build. It is seeding with the newest November 2021 monthly security patch.

Moving to the fixes and changes, then the new build is seeding with reduced system power consumption for better battery life. The new incremental update has optimized back-end management to offer better gaming experience, optimized VoWiFi and ViLTE experience, and network connection stability as well. Apart from these changes, there’s a new November 2021 monthly security patch and improved system stability and known issues fix. OxygenOS A.12 / A.13 update for OnePlus Nord 2

The newest incremental update is currently rolling out in a staged manner in India, Europe, and NA. Obviously, it will take some time to reach every unit of Nord 2. In case youโ€™ve not received the update, then you can move to Settings > System > System Updates and update your smartphone to the newer version.

If the update is not available yet, then you also have the option to update manually using OTA zip or full recovery ROM.

To download latest update, you can use the Oxygen Updater app. All you have to do is select your phone and the update method (incremental or full system update). It will show the latest update that you can download. But before installing, always make sure to backup your phone, and charge your phone to at least 50%. You can use the Local Upgrade option in System Update to install incremental OTA zip.
