Samsung is preparing to introduce the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event later this month. What’s even better is that both these Galaxy Watches will come with new software, One UI 9 Watch, based on Wear OS 7. Needless to say, the new software upgrade will be packed with a fresh set of features and changes. The company has also hinted at a new feature and indirectly pointed to the beta release.
A few days back, Samsung published a notice (via @theonecid) in the Samsung Health app that it is removing the Vascular Load feature in the US. The company has also confirmed that a new feature is coming with the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2; it will be dubbed Blood Pressure Trend. As per the details, the feature will come with One UI 9 Watch later this month.
According to a notice within the Samsung Health app, the Vascular Load feature is set to be removed starting in late July 2026. It points toward the imminent release of the new Galaxy Watches running One UI 9 Watch. Based on Samsung’s track record, the beta program for the new software is also expected to kick off around the same time.
A handful of older Galaxy watches should get the new software upgrade; we can expect the beta to go live first for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. Later, we can expect the beta program’s expansion for older watch models.
The beta program is expected to go live first in South Korea or the US. Keep in mind that the beta program may contain minor or even major bugs. Therefore, install the beta on your watch only if you are aware of the risks and are comfortable with it.
