Earlier this week, Samsung began the One UI 8 stable rollout for the Galaxy S24 series in its home market, South Korea. While the company initially promised to expand the rollout to international markets in October, testing appears to have gone smoothly, and so the update goes international.
Today, Samsung has started rolling out the Android 16-centric One UI 8 stable update for Galaxy S24 in Australia, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Samsung is pushing the new software upgrade with the S928BXXU4CYI7 build number. The update is available to both beta testers and non-beta users. As it is a major upgrade, the update weighs a whopping 3.5GB in download size, if you’re a beta testers the incremental update is only 600MB in size.
One UI 8-based Android 16 update comes with a slew of new features and changes. The list of features includes the new Adaptive lock screen clock, improved split-screen view, better display support in Samsung DeX, easier file sharing with Quick Share, Dynamic Lock screen, hide apps in secure folder, updated stock apps, improved animations, and more.

If you own the Galaxy S24 series smartphone and waiting for the One UI 8 update, you can check your device for the OTA notification or you can check for new updates manually. To check for the update, go to Settings > Software Update. Once the update is available on your phone, you can download and install it.
Please charge your phone to at least 50% before updating to the One UI 8-based Android 16 update. Also, don’t forget to back up your data just in case.
