Samsung has released the One UI 8.5 Beta 7 for Galaxy S25 devices. While it’s possible that this could be the final beta, it’s just speculation. This new beta update addresses several issues, making it ready for the stable release.
The latest One UI 8.5 Beta 7 for Galaxy S25 is live in all regions where the One UI beta program is available. It comes with build version ZZC7 and weighs around 1GB in size.
As the stable release of One UI 8.5 is around the corner, the latest beta update focuses heavily on eliminating any known bugs. It comes with a big list of bug fixes that you can check out below.

- Fixed an issue where the proximity sensor malfunctioned, causing calls to switch to video calls
- Fixed an issue where the color palette was not applied to GMS apps in the work/security folder.
- Improved the visibility of the Gmail search input box in dark mode
- Fixed an issue where the Gallery crashed while launching a new project
- Fixed an issue where photos could not be exported from private albums in Gallery
- Fixed an issue where Toast pop-ups did not appear during Dex connection with heat generation
- Fixed an issue where Fahrenheit temperature information was cut off after adding a city to the Weather widget
- Fixed an issue where a one-time Wi-Fi recovery occurred during Wi-Fi roaming scanning with AP supporting MBSSID (Multiple BSSID)
- Fixed stuttering and freezing issues when first entering the unread message inbox in the Samsung Messages app
- Fixed an issue where notifications were not displayed in the notification window under certain conditions
If you’ve joined the beta program, the latest beta will be available directly via OTA. To check for the update, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. If you haven’t joined the beta program yet, there’s no need to do so now, as the official update will be released soon. If you haven’t tasted the beta update, One UI 8.5 includes several new features and improvements.
If you own a different Galaxy device, there are rumors that suggest One UI 8.5 Beta may also be available for a few other Galaxy devices. Samsung has already released Beta for Galaxy Z Fold 7, and other flagship and popular mid-range phones could be the next to receive it.
