Earlier this month we shared the exciting news that Motorola will be releasing the Android 15 update for its original ThinkPhone from June 9 for Fido and Roger carriers. Motorola ThinkPhone is now receiving the update in Canada and the US, and more regions are expected to join soon. It’s possible that the update may already be live in some other regions.
A few users have already confirmed that the Android 15 update is available for the Motorola ThinkPhone. Users have reported that there aren’t many major issues, except that the battery data resets frequently on its own.
The OG Motorola ThinkPhone was released in 2023 with Android 13 out of the box. Following the Android 14 update, the device gets its second major update, Android 15.
The Android 15 update for the US variant of Motorola ThinkPhone is available with build number V1TB35H.149-8-10 and weighs 2.39 GB. The stable update brings some new changes and features, but don’t expect a lot.
If you have a Motorola ThinkPhone and haven’t received the Android 15 update yer, you’ll soon receive it over the air. As usual, it is a staged rollout and may take a few weeks to reach everyone. To ensure you get the update as soon as it’s released in your region, make sure your device is running on the latest Android 14 build and check for the updates frequently in Settings.
