The Motorola Moto G 5G 2024 is now receiving its first major update, Android 15. As usual, the update is rolling out in batches, so it may take some time to reach all users.
Last week, we shared the Android 15 rollout plan for the Moto G 5G 2024 for Rogers and Fido carriers. However, it appears that users on the Metro carrier are receiving the update early. This update will gradually roll out and become available globally in the coming weeks.
A Reddit user, Seej1982, along with a few other users, confirmed that they have received the Android 15 update on their Moto G 5G 2024. As expected, some users are afraid to update their phone, and their concern is justified, considering that most updates tend to downgrade the user experience rather than enhance it.
As usual, even if you don’t want it, you’ll continue receiving notifications to update your phone once the update is available.
Android 15 doesn’t bring any major changes, so there’s nothing particularly exciting to explore after the update. You can expect minor changes along with a security upgrade. So far, no major bugs have been reported by users, and we hope it doesn’t cause any issues.
As previously mentioned, the update is being rolled out in phases, which means that it will take a few weeks to reach all users. To get the latest Android 15 update on your Moto G 5G 2024, make sure that your phone is running on the latest Android 14 build. You can manually check for the update by navigating to the software/system update section under settings.
Once the update is available on your device, make sure you take a backup of your data before installing it.
