If you are someone who owns a Google Pixel product, then you’ve come to the right place to get all the information about the March Pixel Feature Drop update.
March 2024 Pixel Drop’s New Features for Pixel Phones
Google’s Pixel lineup of smartphones is one of the most important devices in the Pixel family. And, to keep users engaged to their Pixel smartphones, Google has introduced interesting new features for the smartphones. Let’s take a look at what’s new for Pixel phones.
Improved Call Screening
One benefit of owning the Google Pixel is the Call Screening feature. Now, when the caller rings you up and simply stays silent, you can tell Google Assistant to prompt the caller to speak to you. This is a good way to figure out if someone is simply waiting for you to answer your call and wasting your time. Additionally, if you cannot answer the screen phone call, Google Assistant will tell your caller that they will have to wait for a bit when they are trying to reach you.

First gen Pixel Watch gets Smarter
Google announced its entry into the smartwatch world with the Pixel Watch 1 in 2022. Finally, Google has decided that the Pixel Watch 1 needs to get some cool new features and has finally done so with the March 2024 Feature Drop update for the Pixel Watch. If you own the Pixel Watch 2, you will now see that its advanced features are rolling out to the Pixel Watch 1. Let’s take a look at what’s in store for the Pixel Watch 1.
Workout Tracking With Useful Features
Pace Training is one of the new features coming over to the Pixel Watch 1. With Pace Training, you can set target goals and also see how close you are to achieving your target. If you do fall out of your targeted pace, you will get warnings via haptics on your Pixel Watch 1 and also voice alerts if you have your Pixel Buds Pro paired with your Pixel Watch 1.
Easily track your heart rate with the Heart Zone Training feature. Using your Pixel Watch 1, you can now track your resting heart rate, as well as your heart rate when performing various exercises and fitness-related activities. You will get haptic alerts when you move or change from one heart rate zone to another.
Google is also bringing in the auto start and auto stop workout tracking for the Pixel Watch 1. Based on the activity you are doing, your Pixel Watch will either start or stop tracking. This auto feature works for activities such as running, walking elliptical, spinning, outdoor biking, treadmill, and rowing.
Breathe In and Breathe Out
Your Pixel Watch 1 will now remind you to take a moment to sit down, relax, and keep a calm mind. With new breathing exercises on your Pixel Watch 1 powered by the Fitbit Relax app, you can track the time spent performing these breathing exercises.
Public Transit Directions, Now On Your Wrist!
The pixel Watch 1 will now let you search for directions to the nearest station or bus stop. Plus, if you own an LTE-powered Pixel Watch 1, you can simply start your trips on the watch itself. No matter what public transit options you choose, you will be able to see the real-time departure right on your wrist.
New Features Across The Pixel Platform
While older Pixel devices are still in active support by Google, it only makes sense to release some new features for those devices. 4 new features are now available for the Pixel devices. Check them out below.
App Screen Sharing
Traditional screen sharing would require you to share the whole screen of your device. Now, that is something not everyone likes to do. So, with the March Feature Drop update, you can now simply just share the screen of the app that you wish to. Whether you are sharing your app screen, recording it, presenting it via a video call or simply casting the screen, you do not have to worry about any other screen or info being shared with the other person.
