Vivo’s spin-off iQOO officially begins the FuntouchOS 13 rollout in October. iQOO Neo 6 became the company’s first phone to pick up the new software in the same month. Now after two months, the update goes live for one more eligible smartphone – iQOO 7. Android 13 based FuntouchOS 13 update bags a whole bunch of new features for the iQOO 7, read along for more details.
iQOO plants the new update on its number series smartphone – iQOO 7 with the PD2055F_EX_A_8.70.29 software version. Currently, the upgrade is available to select users, and a broader rollout should follow in the coming days.
iQOO 7 was released with Android 11 OS and the phone picked up its first-ever major OS upgrade – Android 12 update last year. Now is the time for the second big upgrade which is the Android 13 upgrade. Just like the first major upgrade, the OTA needs a huge chunk of data for downloading, the newer build weighs a whopping 4.67GB in size. So, make sure you have enough storage and data.
Talking about the new features, the iQOO 7 Android 13 update comes with more color palettes as we have seen in the stock Android 13, option to hide photos in the gallery app, brings new phone cooling features to the iManager, the ability to see notification permission icon on the notification panel, and more new features. Apart from these features, users can also expect the Android 13 essentials like a new music player for quick panel, per app language, photo privacy, a new clipboard, etc.

If you own the iQOO 7, then you can check for the new updates in the Software Update Settings, at the time of writing, the update is available to early adopters. If you want to try out the new features, then you can request for the trial version. You can head over to Settings > System update, then tap on the gear icon at the top right corner and select trial version, and request for the new update.
Make sure to take a backup before installing the beta update on your iQOO 7, also charge your smartphone to at least 50%.
